ASTM A199 / ASME SA199
ASTM A199 / ASME SA199 Seamless Alloy Steel Tubes
Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Condensers, and Superheaters
At Emirerri Steel, we supply premium-quality ASTM A199 / SA199 seamless alloy steel tubes, designed for boilers, heat exchangers, condensers, and superheaters operating at high temperatures and pressures. Manufactured to the highest industry standards, our tubes deliver superior strength, heat resistance, and long service life in demanding industrial environments.
What is ASTM A199 / SA199?
ASTM A199 / SA199 specifies seamless ferritic alloy steel tubes intended for use in condenser and heat exchanger service as well as in boilers and superheaters. These tubes are produced using the seamless manufacturing process, ensuring uniform wall thickness, dimensional accuracy, and reliability under high stress conditions.
The alloy composition, typically including elements such as chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium, provides enhanced mechanical strength, creep resistance, and corrosion protection at elevated temperatures.
Grades
Grade T4 – Chromium-molybdenum alloy, offering good oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
Grade T5 – Enhanced creep resistance and strength for boiler and superheater service.
Grade T7 – High chromium content, suitable for applications requiring superior scaling resistance.
Grade T9 – Excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, widely used in superheater tubes.
Grade T11 – Versatile alloy steel with good corrosion resistance, commonly used in power plants.
Grade T21 – Chromium-molybdenum alloy with improved toughness and creep resistance.
Grade T22 – High-strength alloy steel, ideal for pressure vessels and boiler applications.
Grade T91 – Modified 9Cr-1Mo alloy steel, designed for exceptional creep strength and thermal stability
