317 Stainless Steel Round Bar (UNS S31700) is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel offering enhanced corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich and acidic environments. With higher molybdenum content than 316, 317 round bars are well suited for chemical processing, marine, and pulp & paper industries where superior corrosion performance is essential.
