AISI 5130 Round Bar (UNS G51300)
AISI 5130 Round Bar is a chromium alloy steel with medium carbon content, offering a good balance of strength, toughness, and wear resistance. This grade responds well to heat treatment and is commonly used for engineering components requiring higher strength than plain carbon steels, along with improved hardenability due to chromium addition.
Key Features
- Chromium alloy steel with good hardenability
- High tensile strength and toughness after heat treatment
- Good wear and abrasion resistance
- Suitable for quenching and tempering
- Better fatigue resistance than carbon steel grades
