ASTM A213 TP316H Stainless Steel Seamless Tube (UNS S31609)
ASTM A213 TP316H (UNS S31609) Stainless Steel Tubes are an austenitic stainless steel grade specially designed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. The “H” grade contains a higher carbon content compared to TP316 and TP316L, which significantly enhances its creep strength, mechanical durability, and structural stability at elevated temperatures. This makes TP316H the ideal choice for boiler tubes, superheater tubes, heat exchangers, and other components exposed to continuous high-temperature service.
With excellent corrosion resistance, especially in acidic, chloride-rich, and oxidizing environments, TP316H offers dependable performance in petrochemical plants, refineries, fertilizer plants, and power generation units. The material exhibits excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion due to its molybdenum content, while maintaining outstanding tensile strength and oxidation resistance. This grade is widely used where temperatures exceed 500°C and long-term strength reliability is crucial.
