ASTM A213 TP317L (UNS S31703) Stainless Steel Tubes are a low-carbon version of TP317 stainless steel, designed specifically for applications requiring superior corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride and acidic environments. The lower carbon content in TP317L helps prevent carbide precipitation during welding, making this grade highly suitable for applications involving corrosive media and welded structures.

With higher chromium, nickel, and molybdenum content than standard 316/316L, TP317L provides exceptional resistance to chemical attacks from sulfuric acids, halides, and industrial solvents. This alloy is especially preferred in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemicals, marine engineering, pulp & paper, and pollution control equipment. ASTM A213 TP317L tubes offer excellent performance in high-temperature and high-pressure service, making them ideal for heat exchangers, superheaters, and boiler tubes.
