ASTM A269 TP316LN is a nitrogen-enhanced, low-carbon grade of 316 stainless steel designed for superior strength, enhanced corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability. The addition of nitrogen (N) increases yield strength and resistance to pitting while the low-carbon (L) content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding—making TP316LN ideal for critical applications in chemical processing, cryogenic systems, food & beverage, and high-purity fluid handling.

As part of the austenitic stainless-steel family, 316LN (UNS S31653) provides excellent resistance to chlorides, acids, and aggressive industrial environments while maintaining outstanding toughness even at low temperatures.
