ASTM A269 TP317 Stainless Steel Tubes (UNS S31700)

ASTM A269 TP317 is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel tube grade containing higher levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum compared to 316. This enhanced chemical composition provides superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attack—making TP317 ideal for highly corrosive environments, especially those containing chlorides, sulfuric acid, and aggressive chemicals.

With excellent mechanical strength, good weldability, and outstanding corrosion resistance, TP317 (UNS S31700) stainless steel tubes are widely used in chemical processing equipment, pulp & paper plants, marine systems, and high-pressure industrial applications.

Key Features

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance compared to 316/316L due to higher Mo content.
  • Excellent Resistance to Pitting & Crevice Corrosion in chloride-rich environments.
  • High Strength & Durability for demanding applications.
  • Good Weldability & Fabrication Characteristics.
  • Stable Structural Integrity in high-temperature and high-pressure services.
  • Smooth and Clean Inner Surface for sanitary and high-purity flow.
  • Compliant with ASTM A269 Standard ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality.
