ASTM A513 1026
ASTM A513 1026 is a high-strength carbon steel mechanical tubing grade manufactured using the Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) process. With its higher carbon and manganese content compared to Grades 1008–1020, this grade delivers superior tensile strength, excellent machinability, and enhanced wear resistance.
It is especially preferred for hydraulic cylinders, automotive components, heavy machinery parts, and high-pressure mechanical applications due to its outstanding dimensional accuracy and consistent performance.
ASTM A513 Grade 1026 is also widely used for DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing, offering exceptional surface finish, tight tolerances, and improved mechanical strength.
Key Features
- High Strength & Durability: Superior tensile and yield strength compared to lower grades.
- Excellent Machinability: Ideal for turning, boring, threading, and drilling operations.
- High Weldability: Compatible with MIG, TIG, SMAW, and resistance welding.
- Superior Surface Finish: DOM version provides excellent smoothness & precision.
- Enhanced Wear Resistance: Suitable for high-pressure & high-stress applications.
- Dimensional Accuracy: ERW + DOM technology ensures uniform tolerances.
