ASTM B338 Grade 12 Titanium Tube (UNS R53400)
ASTM B338 Gr 12 Titanium Tube (UNS R53400) is a corrosion-resistant titanium alloy containing molybdenum and nickel (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni). It offers higher strength than commercially pure titanium while maintaining excellent weldability and outstanding resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-bearing environments.
Key Features
- Manufactured in accordance with ASTM B338
- UNS R53400 titanium alloy composition
- Excellent resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion
- Superior weldability compared to higher-alloyed grades
- Good strength with excellent ductility
- Suitable for marine, chemical, and heat exchanger services
