ASTM B861 Gr 9 Titanium Pipe, also known as Ti-3Al-2.5V (UNS R56320), is an alpha-beta titanium alloy developed to provide an optimal balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and cold formability. Often referred to as “half 6-4,” Grade 9 offers higher strength than commercially pure titanium grades while maintaining better ductility and workability than Ti-6Al-4V. ASTM B861 Gr 9 seamless titanium pipes are widely used in aerospace, marine, and industrial applications where lightweight construction, moderate strength, and excellent corrosion resistance are essential.
