C45 Carbon Steel Round Bar (UNS G10450)
C45 Round Bar is a medium carbon steel supplied in hot rolled, forged, or normalized condition and is known for its excellent balance of strength, toughness, and machinability. Identified internationally by UNS G10450, C45 steel contains approximately 0.45% carbon, making it suitable for components requiring higher strength and wear resistance compared to low carbon steels. It is widely used in mechanical and automotive engineering for stressed parts.
Key Features
- Medium carbon content for improved strength and hardness
- Good machinability in normalized or hot rolled condition
- Excellent response to heat treatment
- High wear and abrasion resistance
- Suitable for quenching and tempering
- Cost-effective material for engineering applications
