CK40 Round Bar (UNS G10400)
CK40 Round Bar is a medium carbon steel grade specified under EN 10083 standards and internationally recognized as UNS G10400. With a carbon content of approximately 0.40%, CK40 steel provides higher strength than CK35 while still maintaining good toughness and machinability. It is commonly supplied in hot rolled or normalized condition and is suitable for mechanical parts subjected to moderate to high stresses.
Key Features
- Medium carbon content for improved strength
- Good toughness and wear resistance
- Excellent machinability in normalized condition
- Suitable for heat treatment and surface hardening
- Reliable performance for mechanical engineering applications
