Monel K500 Round Bar (UNS N05500 | ASTM B865)
Monel K500 Round Bar, also widely searched as Alloy K500 Round Bar, is a high-strength, precipitation-hardened nickel–copper alloy manufactured in accordance with ASTM B865 / ASME SB865 and designated as UNS N05500. This alloy combines the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 with significantly higher mechanical strength and hardness.
The addition of aluminum and titanium enables Monel K500 to be age hardened, making ASTM B865 UNS N05500 Round Bar ideal for high-stress applications exposed to seawater, chemicals, and extreme environments. Alloy K500 Round Bar offers outstanding resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, cavitation, and erosion, while maintaining toughness at both sub-zero and elevated temperatures.
Key Features
- Much higher strength than Monel 400
- Excellent resistance to seawater and marine atmospheres
- Outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking
- Good wear and galling resistance
- Retains toughness at low and elevated temperatures
