SAE/AISI 1141 Round Bar (UNS G11410)
SAE/AISI 1141 Round Bar is a medium-carbon, resulfurized steel specifically developed for enhanced machinability while maintaining good strength and wear resistance. The added sulfur improves chip formation and surface finish during machining, making AISI 1141 an excellent choice for high-speed machining of precision components where extensive machining is required.
Key Features
- Resulfurized medium-carbon steel for superior machinability
- Better surface finish and tool life during machining
- Good strength and wear resistance compared to low-carbon steels
- Suitable for induction and flame hardening
- Cost-effective alternative to alloy steels for machined parts
