ASTM A789 UNS S31260 Duplex Stainless Steel Tubes
ASTM A789 UNS S31260 Duplex Stainless Steel Tubes are designed for highly corrosive and demanding industrial environments that require excellent mechanical strength, enhanced durability, and superior resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. UNS S31260 is a duplex grade with a balanced ferrite–austenite microstructure, improved toughness, and excellent resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice attack.
With high chromium and molybdenum content, this alloy ensures long service life in marine, chemical, petrochemical, and desalination systems. Its high strength-to-weight ratio makes it a preferred choice for structural, pressure system, and heat exchanger applications.
Key Features
- Outstanding resistance to pitting & crevice corrosion
- Excellent mechanical strength with superior toughness
- High resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking
- Enhanced durability in seawater and chemical processing environments
- Lower thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity
- Suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature service
