ASTM B338 Grade 2 Pipe (UNS R50400)
ASTM B338 Gr 2 specifies seamless and welded pipes manufactured from commercially pure titanium, designated as UNS R50400. Titanium Grade 2 is the most widely used titanium grade due to its excellent balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and formability.
Grade 2 titanium pipes provide outstanding resistance to seawater, chlorides, and many corrosive chemicals, making them suitable for demanding industrial, chemical processing, and marine environments.
Key Features
- Excellent corrosion resistance in seawater and chloride environments
- High strength-to-weight ratio
- Good ductility and formability
- Outstanding resistance to erosion and biofouling
- Non-magnetic and non-toxic
- Excellent weldability and fabrication properties
