Stainless Steel 316 Round Bar (UNS S31600) is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel known for its superior corrosion resistance, especially in chloride and marine environments. The addition of molybdenum significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to SS 304. UNS S31600 round bars also provide excellent mechanical strength, good weldability, and reliable performance at elevated temperatures, making them ideal for demanding industrial and chemical applications.
