AISI 5120 Round Bar (UNS G51200)
AISI 5120 Round Bar is a chromium alloy steel primarily used for carburizing and case-hardening applications. With controlled carbon content and chromium addition, this grade delivers a hard, wear-resistant surface with a tough, shock-resistant core after heat treatment. AISI 5120 round bars are widely used in automotive and heavy engineering components where fatigue strength and durability are critical.
Key Features
- Chromium alloy steel with good hardenability
- Excellent carburizing and case-hardening characteristics
- High surface hardness and wear resistance after treatment
- Good core strength and fatigue resistance
- Suitable for mass-production automotive components
