EN8 Carbon Steel Round Bar (UNS G10450)
EN8 Round Bar is a medium carbon steel grade widely used in mechanical and structural engineering due to its excellent strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Internationally identified as UNS G10450, EN8 typically contains around 0.40–0.45% carbon, making it suitable for components subjected to moderate to high stresses. It offers better mechanical properties than EN1A and is commonly supplied in hot rolled or normalized condition.
Key Features
- Medium carbon steel with high tensile strength
- Good toughness and shock resistance
- Excellent machinability in normalized condition
- Suitable for induction hardening and heat treatment
- Reliable performance for engineering applications
