Hastelloy S Round Bar (UNS N06635)
Hastelloy S Round Bar is a nickel–chromium–molybdenum alloy developed for exceptional high-temperature strength and resistance to thermal shock. It is particularly valued for its excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and metal dusting, along with outstanding stability during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Hastelloy S is widely used in aerospace, heat-treating, and high-temperature industrial environments.
Key Features
- Excellent oxidation resistance up to ~900 °C
- Superior resistance to thermal fatigue and thermal shock
- High creep and stress-rupture strength
- Good resistance to carburization and metal dusting
- Stable microstructure during long-term high-temperature exposure
- Good weldability and fabrication characteristics
